Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Provide excellent customer service representative team out of Carson, CA to address customer needs and inquiries to our Intermodal division. Provide support to internal and external customers with proactive communication.

Monday thru Friday - 2:00PM - 10:30PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve drayage needs with timely execution of all import/export work orders.

Accurate data entry, with confirmation of all port, rail, and customer work order information.

Provide excellent, professional, and timely customer service whether handling customer inquiries, complaints, quotes, support in order maintenance processes.

Provide clerical support to daily operations- including, but not limited to answering the telephone/ emails, photocopying, printing, faxing, filing, record maintenance.

Collect, safekeep, and help upkeep all relevant customer data.

Maintain open communication with customers and team to ensure all parties are clear in direction, whether confirming pickup/ delivery time and date, ensuring all mandatory forms are completed and attached, if any moves need to have any specialized freight requirements or appointment, or of any new accessorial charges (chassis, detention, etc.)

Assist in tracking and tracing their freight, when needed.

Notify customers of freight and port availability, capacity, and other important information.

Will need to maintain knowledge of company services.

Work and coordinate effectively with dispatch team to ensure freight is delivered safely and on time.

Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Manage container emails.

Verify port availability.

Coordinate and manage the assignment, flow and execution of moves by ensuring utilization of assets.

Ensure safety, quality, and timeliness.

COMPETENCIES
1-2 years of experience in dispatching.

Must have prior experience working with port drivers and/ or maritime industry.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
