ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position delves into the realm of cutting-edge technologies, encompassing both hardware and software. As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with the other support team members and leaders to deliver timely resolutions to internal and external client support requests within the company's dynamic infrastructure environment, with a focus on Windows, Linux, and Cloud (AWS and Google Cloud Platform) environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Work in a cutting edge and continually changing SaaS environment

  • Work within a ticketing system to resolve internal and external client requests while adhering to defined service level agreements

  • Work with the Systems Support Manager on new projects that arise from business needs

  • Create documentation that will be utilized in the deployment and maintenance of new technologies and systems throughout the company's infrastructure

  • Communicate plans for process improvement to the Systems Support Manager
  • Train and mentor new team members

  • Manage vulnerability remediation with strict SLAs

  • Maintain an open and fluid communication relationship with the Systems Support Manager

  • Bring to the attention of the respective parties, any problems that negatively impact the company's infrastructure

  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with other direct team members and the team members of other departments

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Management, within the area of responsibility for this position

  • Participate in an on-call rotation that consists of 24/7 alerting

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 3+ years experience supporting servers in a datacenter and cloud environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server administration and support

  • Advanced knowledge of Linux Server administration and support

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Cloud (AWS and Google Cloud Platform) administration and support

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems with little oversight

  • Understand the concepts around virtual and physical server environments

  • Understand the concepts around Cloud environments

  • Can work independently on projects

  • Ownership of individual project and task priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere enterprise solutions, leveraging High Availability and redundancy best practices

  • Server monitoring experience, using Aria, PRTG, or similar tools

  • Ability to implement prompt engineering and AI automation to streamline internal workflows

  • Can design solutions with the overall product direction in mind

  • Able to plan and initiate a project

  • Clear communicator across departments

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
