Job Description Interim High School Principal

Garden City High School | Glasscock County ISD

Garden City High School is seeking a qualified and experienced educational leader to serve as Interim High School Principal. The successful candidate will provide strong, student-centered leadership while supporting staff, maintaining consistent campus operations, and continuing our commitment to student achievement and excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers and staff
  • Oversee the daily operations of the high school campus
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment
  • Support student discipline, attendance, and academic success
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and district administration
  • Provide leadership and oversight for extracurricular activities and campus programs
  • Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and district leadership to meet student needs
  • Ensure district policies, procedures, and expectations are consistently implemented
  • Perform other duties necessary to support the successful operation of the high school

Qualifications

Candidates should possess appropriate administrative certification and experience in educational leadership. High school administrative experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
