Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project budgets in partnership with account directors and project managers
  • Track project costs, invoices, purchase orders, payroll, and vendor expenses throughout the project lifecycle
  • Perform budget-to-actual analysis, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve project profitability
  • Allocate costs across multiple projects and ensure accurate project financial reporting
  • Support percent-completion accounting and month-end revenue recognition activities
  • Reconcile completed projects and maintain accurate financial documentation
  • Build and customize project budget workbooks using advanced Excel skills

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reconciliation experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and customize financial models and budget workbooks
  • Experience tracking project costs, invoices, purchase orders, payroll allocations, and project profitability
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition and percent-completion accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to work onsite in Duluth two days per week

Preferred Backgrounds

  • Experiential marketing, event production, advertising, creative agency, or project-based professional services

  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent client projects
  • Familiarity with project financial systems or budgeting platforms
  • International project or multi-entity accounting exposure
  • Project Accountant, Project Financial Analyst, Finance Manager, Project Finance Analyst, Job Cost Accountant, or Client Finance Analyst backgrounds

  • Hybrid schedule with three remote workdays each week
  • Join a growing finance team supporting exciting, high-profile client projects
  • Highly interactive role partnering with project managers, account teams, and business leaders
  • Opportunity to expand your expertise in project finance, budgeting, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis
  • Broad exposure to project operations rather than traditional transactional accounting
  • Collaborative team environment with strong leadership and long-term career growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact by helping improve financial performance across a diverse project portfolio
