You may also work with a team of other staff members and clients, and help with the actual implementation or creation of prototypes. To pursue a career as an interactive designer, you typically need experience in interactive web design and a portfolio of relevant work samples. You also need to understand programming and design software, such as Photoshop and CSS, along with industry concepts like user interface design and user experience flows. Some employers may also require a degree in a design-related field.
