Job description

Position Summary

A client of ours is seeking an Instructional Designer to develop engaging, performance-based training solutions. This role is heavily focused on creating interactive eLearning content in Articulate Storyline and prefers experience designing training within highly regulated industries.


The ideal candidate will possess strong adult learning expertise, exceptional instructional design skills, and the ability to independently develop high-quality learning experiences while collaborating with training leadership.


Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2+ years of instructional design experience in a regulated environment
  • Strong expertise with Articulate 360 Suite
  • Articulate Storyline
  • Rise
  • Portfolio showcasing:
  • Storyline development
  • Interactive learning experiences
  • Performance-based instructional design
  • Adult learning principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Communications, or related field
  • Experience manipulating and enhancing images using Canva or similar tools
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills


Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design

  • Design and develop engaging instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training solutions
  • Build performance-based learning experiences using Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Apply adult learning principles throughout training materials
  • Create standalone courses focused on learner performance and measurable outcomes

Course Development & Maintenance

  • Develop new training content
  • Update and maintain existing presentations and courseware
  • Ensure content aligns with current procedures, standards, and best practices

Multimedia Production

  • Support creation of scenario-based learning content
  • Assist with video recording, editing, lighting, and multimedia production
  • Incorporate graphics and visual elements to enhance learner engagement

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with Fleet Training Directors and Subject Matter Experts
  • Support departmental training projects and initiatives
  • Participate in team collaboration sessions and learning strategy discussions


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Building courses in Articulate Storyline
  • Designing learner interactions and performance-based assessments
  • Creating and updating training presentations
  • Incorporating graphics and visual enhancements into learning content
  • Collaborating with SMEs to gather requirements
  • Maintaining learning materials and documentation
  • Supporting multimedia content development
