Job description

Amentum has an opportunity for a highly skilled Intelligence Planner to support Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) as subject matter expert within the G2 for Intelligence support to deliberate war plans, strategy, partner intelligence sharing and engagement, exercise development, perception management, weapons threat mitigation, assessment of Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) and support to posture and sustainment planning. The G2 plans section supports all war-fighting function planning cells within the MARFORPAC HQ, the Pacific Fleet Joint Integrated Fires and Effects Center (JIFEC), and the USUSINDOPACOM J25 Plans and Intelligence Engagements Section, while also conducting integration with service support agencies. This position plays a crucial part in developing and executing intelligence strategies that directly support U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) priorities and enhance regional security.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support MARFORPAC intelligence efforts for USINDOPACOM priority OPLAN Development to include the execution of OPLAN driven Naval, Army, and service wargames and emulations.
  • Support and assist in the management and archive of Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operating Environment (JIPOE) in support of priority USINDOPACOM planning.
  • Develop and manage intelligence assessments to support MARFORPAC long range Training Employment and Engagement Plan (TEEP) execution.
  • Manage key intelligence engagement plans with priority Pacific allies and partners to include the Philippine Marine Corps and Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force.
  • Provide intelligence support for Pacific Posture plans and the execution of the Defense Policy Review Initiative (DPRI) force requirements.
  • Serve as the MARFORPAC liaison for analysis and plans coordination with MCIA, DCI, and other Intelligence community agencies.
  • Serve as representative to all MARFORPAC and USINDOPACOM Operational Planning Teams and working groups. Represent the G-2 throughout the planning process.
  • Coordinate with G-2 Collections branch, monitor and update proper national and theater collection plans in support of assigned OPLAN/CONPLAN ensuring proper alignment with associated PIRs and current theater assessments.
  • Conduct regular outreach with USINDOPACOM J25 Plans and adjacent component plans counterparts to keep G-2 aligned in all planning activities.
  • Ensure all appropriate information is shared across adjacent staff sections and appropriate subordinate units to include MEF G2 plans sections.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree
  • 7+ years of Intel Planning Experience.
  • Expertise in operational planning, joint intelligence, and PMESII analysis.
  • Ability to support intelligence aspects of OPLANs, CONPLANs, CONOPs, and crisis response efforts.
  • Completed Joint Intelligence Planners Course
  • Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Strong coordination skills with regional stakeholders and interagency partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years prior experience providing intelligence support to a Combatant Command.
  • Completion of Intel Planning Course I/II.
  • Completion of Intelligence Tactics and Operations Course.
  • Security Cooperation and International Relations training and experience.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120K - $150K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
