Position Summary

The Business Intelligence analyst is accountable for the management, development and execution of the Business Intelligence (BI) & Revenue Assurance Program, Annual Rate Increases, operations dashboards, and reporting, and overall Gross Margin (GM) Integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
   Extract, clean, and analyze large volumes of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. 
   Conduct deep dive business intelligence analysis into operational areas within Operations to provide analysis and insight on the interplay between the various key performance indicators (e.g., workforce performance & management, Revenue Assurance, productivity, cost and quality drivers).
   Effectively collaborate with stakeholders to develop insights and recommendations to enable strategic discussions among leadership.
   Provided monthly management insight for performance opportunities, financial Rate and Volume variance analysis to help identify resource allocation opportunities
   Accountable for understanding regulation changes and launching organizational projects to implement changes in all impacted areas in submetering (includes non-responsible departments) 
   Plans, develops and approves all operational policies in all functional areas, with standard operating procedures, and quality management systems for revenue assurance
   Monitor daily performance against key metrics to identify opportunities and anomalies
   Constantly review current operational processes and be a strategic partner in making recommendations for improvements
   Work with all departmental owners to implement and ensure controls are in place to support the lead to cash process for all (billing model) revenue streams
   Develop and champion revenue leakage issues across organization by engaging key stakeholders on activity and resource requirements necessary to drive revenue maximization
   Stay updated on the latest trends in Business Intelligence, data analytics and emerging technologies
   Evaluate and incorporate new tools or techniques that could enhance BI capabilities.
Qualifications:
   Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Business or other quantitative fields.
   High proficiency in data modelling and analysis with demonstrated acumen using the following tools Excel, PowerBI (Power Query) & SQL
   Basic knowledge of Python is an asset
   2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Operations, or relevant work experience at a fast-growing utility company is preferred.
   Preference to additional training with Data Analytics / IT
   Preference for experience with data visualization tools
   Excellent collaboration skills to build strong working partnerships with stakeholders.
   Understanding and experience working with statistical revenue and costing information to provide business insight and opportunities to reduce cost.
   Strong technical skills to mine large volumes of data.
   Ability to apply superior data knowledge & discovery skills into building effective analysis.
   Ability to conduct basic statistical and correlation analysis to identify patterns and trends.
   Industry or working experience with customer billing environments with large transaction volumes such as Utility or Telecommunications,
   Attention to detail and quality, strong time management and project/work planning skills.
   Proven ability to work with and deliver Industry Leading Best-in-Class reporting and analytical solutions.
   Excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills to include communications, presentation and conflict resolution skills.
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
Any shown ranges reflects base salary. We offer discretionary bonus and additional benefits, including health and retirement, as part of our total rewards program.
