Job Summary: Provides business-related analysis results and reports to the enterprise by preparing comparisons, scenarios, and visualizations using business intelligence tools.  Work closely with departments to transform data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. Core duties will be to provide data that is accurate, congruent, and reliable; and ensure information is easily available to users.   

Elevate & Thrive: Key Responsibilities:

  • Extracts and analyzes performance information, creates reports and makes recommendations accordingly with in-depth analysis of all Gaming Enterprise and SMSC Community programs as requested.
  • Works directly with the Business Intelligence Development team and Sr. Business Intelligence Analysts to make recommendations for improvement to management for decision making purposes.
  • Extracts information, prepares consolidated forecasts, and analyzes trends for the enterprises business units in the areas of revenue, cost of sales, labor, and other operating expenses and makes recommendations accordingly.
  • May be requested to develop and/or assist in the development of special projects, reports, and analyses.
  • Assists in preparing Board, management, and divisional reporting packages, including summaries, analytical support, and graphs and charts.
  • Utilizes business intelligence tools and dashboard reports and provides input on improving source data.
  • Assist Business Intelligence team as a resource for other special projects as needed.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor degree in business, analytics or related field and 3+ years of Business Intelligence work experience OR combination of post-secondary education in business, analytics or related field and work experience with a focus in Business Intelligence equal to 7+ years.
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL Server Management Studio and query building including business intelligence tools.
  • 1+ year of experience with Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a self-directed environment and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft products specifically Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and financial software packages as needed.
  • Experience with Advanced Data Analytics tools a plus.
  • Work experience in the gaming/casino industry a plus.
