Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Lakeville, MN (Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite)

Overview
Post Consumer Brands is seeking a highly technical and business-focused Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence, this role supports brand and customer teams across our grocery and pet businesses by partnering with stakeholders to understand analytical needs, design scalable reporting solutions, and deliver actionable insights that drive growth.
This position works across the full commercial data landscape, with a primary focus on consumption analytics, including syndicated measurement data (NielsenIQ and Circana), retailer point-of-sale data, consumer panel data (Numerator), sell-in and shipment data, and digital shelf/eCommerce sources such as Salsify, Profitero, and Stackline.
As a senior member of the team, you will own projects end-to-end, develop reusable data products, establish data quality and documentation standards, and mentor analysts on technical execution and industry best practices. We are seeking a technically strong candidate who can independently model, query, and optimize large-scale datasets while translating data into meaningful business recommendations. Experience within CPG or manufacturing is a strong plus but is secondary to technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales, marketing, category management, and commercial teams to deliver analytics that support strategic business objectives.
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable datasets in Snowflake using dbt, integrating consumption, sell-in, and digital shelf/eCommerce sources into a trusted single source of truth.
  • Develop and maintain Sigma reporting and dashboards focused on delivering actionable business insights.
  • Support cross-functional business processes including:
    • Joint Business Planning
    • Category Stories
    • Customer and Channel Playbooks
    • Pricing and Trade Spend Management
    • Commercial Strategy
    • Commercialization
    • Integrated Business Planning
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance while serving as the trusted source for commercial data insights.
  • Design and develop agentic AI solutions within Snowflake, enabling self-service analytics through semantic views and AI-powered agents.
  • Mentor analysts and contribute to advanced analytics and AI-enabled reporting initiatives.
  • Identify, lead, and implement opportunities to automate manual processes and improve team efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and data engineering partners to enhance data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline preferred.

Technical Skills
  • Advanced SQL skills with proven experience querying, joining, cleaning, and optimizing large datasets containing billions of rows.
  • Experience standardizing and managing complex identifiers such as UPCs and product hierarchies.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse.
  • Experience building transformation models using dbt or similar tools.
  • Strong dashboard development and visualization experience using Sigma, Tableau, or comparable BI platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated track record of translating data into business action.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, curiosity, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with syndicated and commercial data sources including NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI), Numerator, retailer POS data, and shipment/sell-in data.
  • Experience with digital shelf and eCommerce platforms such as Salsify, Profitero, or Stackline.
  • Familiarity with Sigma Computing.
  • Basic Python knowledge for analytics and automation.
  • Exposure to AI agents, semantic layers, semantic views, or AI-driven analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or related data-focused experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical data management, modeling, reporting, and analysis.
  • 1 to 2 years of CPG, food, retail, manufacturing, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ, Circana, or similar syndicated data sources is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead initiatives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and data excellence.

Work Location
This position is based in Lakeville, Minnesota and follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring employees to work onsite three days per week.
The pay range for this position is $80,166 - $118,645 per year.
