Intel Foundry is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Robotics Engineer to join our team in exploring, developing, and deploying cutting-edge robotic capabilities in both Facility and Fab semiconductor environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects, leveraging robotics and automation to enhance the efficiency and scalability of advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes.


As a Robotics Engineer, you will design, prototype, and deploy robotic systems such as COBOTs, AMRs, Quadrupeds, and Humanoids that improve operations in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and mentor junior engineers in the robotics and automation domain.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement robotic systems and solutions to enhance manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.

  • Implement and optimize robotic solutions for material handling, equipment maintenance, and process automation in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operational teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders, to identify and address robotics-related challenges and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain software for robotic control systems, including programming, debugging, and optimization.

  • Integrate hardware components, such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, into robotic systems to ensure seamless operation and performance.

  • Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of robotic systems to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Provide technical support and training to operational teams on the use and maintenance of robotic systems.

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics technology and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Document the designs, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics or similar engineering field

  • 3+ years of experience in robotics engineering, including both hardware and software aspects of robotic systems, robotic kinematics, motion planning, and vision systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as C++ and Python and experience with robotic software frameworks (e.g., ROS2).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Robotics or similar engineering field

  • 5+ years of Semi-Conductor experience

  • 5+ years of Full stack software development experience

  • 5+ years of experience with CAD software and hardware design tools is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience developing machine learning and artificial intelligence as applied to robotics

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $128,880.00-245,160.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
