Your Job
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and guide the successful execution of multiple projects within our Toledo, OR mill. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, capable of mentoring and developing project teams at various levels. This Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring project teams remain focused, meet milestones, and deliver quality outcomes. Our Team
Georgia Pacific Toledo is a producer of brown paper used to make cardboard and is a leader in recycling in the Northwest. The Toledo Mill is located within a 10-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean. Many outdoor activities are available near the mill including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and boating. What You Will Do
• Directly manage 8-12 projects from small maintenance changes up to $20MM total installed cost through various project phases, leveraging your expertise to deliver successful outcomes (projects may be related to buildings, equipment or other significant elements requiring project management oversight)
• Actively lead project team meetings with engineering (internal and contracted), operations, maintenance, safety and other team members; provide guidance and ensure teams are delivering results.
• Manage and track the progress of projects at any given time, ensuring they are on schedule, budget and within scope and track ongoing project risks. Communicate status routinely to all stakeholders and resolve issues with urgency.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Five (5) or more years of Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience supporting capital and maintenance projects in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience leading projects > $5MM total installed cost.
• Experience directly supervising others within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment
What Will Put You Ahead
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
• Experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry
• Experience leading project >$20MM total installed costs.
• Direct experience leading fully integrated project teams in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
