Job description

Project Manager (Physical Security Systems)

Location: Columbus, OH

Salary: $80,000 + Benefits


Bright Minds is searching for a Project Manager to support the successful execution of physical security and low-voltage projects throughout the Columbus market. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their project management career who has experience in project coordination, operations, low-voltage systems, construction, or technical services and is ready to take on greater ownership and responsibility.


In this role, you'll support projects from kickoff through closeout while helping manage budgets, job costs, labor tracking, procurement activities, change orders, and project documentation. You'll work closely with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations. This position is heavily focused on project financial management, organization, and accountability while supporting the successful delivery of physical security projects.


Requirements for the Project Manager (Physical Security Systems):

  • 1–5 years of experience in Project Management, Project Coordination, Operations, Construction, Low Voltage, or a related technical environment
  • Strong understanding of budget tracking, job costing, cost control, financial coordination, or project financial management
  • Experience coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of project-related responsibilities
  • Experience supporting project schedules, procurement, project documentation, and reporting
