WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Learning Technology Integration (LTI) Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison between Ascend and our school business partners, collaborating directly with educators, IT staff, and administrators to ensure smooth integration of their learning management system (LMS) with our platform. The LTI Manager provides technical guidance, training, and support throughout the process. This role owns end to end Integration Project Management between instructional technology, IT systems, and compliance to ensure secure, reliable, and user-friendly digital learning experiences. Completion of LTI integrations ensures seamless integration of various systems and applications within our ecosystem, driving operational efficiency and enabling data-driven decision-making. The LTI Manager works closely with product, operations, and technical needs on client support issues to resolve. Integrations enhance client adoption, satisfaction, and retention.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK
This position will work remote in the United States.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
  • Work directly with school clients to assess their LMS environments and integration requirements to complete the recommended integration of technology solutions.
  • Ensure data privacy compliance (FERPA, GDPR) during data exchanges between the LMS, SIS (Student Information System), and external tools.
  • Manage the end-to-end integration implementation between various LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L) and Ascend platform providing onboarding and ongoing client-facing support, including communication and execution for platform enhancements, and product usage and adoption health.
  • Develop and deliver internal and external training sessions, demos and user guides for school staff on using integrated systems effectively.
  • Troubleshoot user issues related to LTI tool launches, single sign-on (SSO), and grade passback and collaborate with cross functional operational and technical teams to resolve client issues.
  • Assess client integration needs for their learning management system to build the best system integration needed for seamless student learning and faculty evaluation of data.
  • Evaluate ongoing support needs to troubleshoot solutions and identify when cross functional support from operations and technical teams or product experts are needed to resolve issues.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience working in:
    • A customer facing role providing onboarding and training services with educational-technology systems.
    • Background in customer success instructional design or classroom teaching.
    • Technical skills working with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L or similar.
    • Experience with LMS API, data synchronizations, and technical workflows, preferred.
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems, API Integrations, Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, Excel, PPT, D365. Tableau. Gainsight, and Custom platforms including ATI. Understanding of SaaS systems.
  • Ability to drive business outcomes aligned with executable contract terms, compliance or regulatory requirements, and internal stakeholder goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Experience in an educational environment or with ed-tech products.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
