Job description

The Senior Project Manager – Data Center Construction will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of mission-critical construction projects while ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client expectations. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, technical construction expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams throughout all phases of project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex data center or mission-critical projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on financial performance, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
  • Manage project planning activities including scheduling, procurement coordination, budgeting, staffing, and execution strategy
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and client requirements
  • Oversee project financials including forecasting, cost tracking, change management, and budget reporting
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and resource plans
  • Identify project risks, construction challenges, and operational constraints while implementing proactive solutions
  • Lead contractor performance, field coordination, and day-to-day construction operations across active job sites
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and industry best practices across all project activities

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 6+ years of project management experience within mission-critical, electrical, or data center construction environments
  • Proven experience leading complex construction projects with responsibility for schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, project delivery processes, procurement, and contract administration
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure systems and data center construction practices required
  • Strong financial management, forecasting, and reporting capabilities
