  • Track client deliverables, timelines, media opportunities, reporting deadlines and internal action items, proactively flagging next steps and helping ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Monitor media coverage, client mentions, competitor news, market trends and relevant industry conversations across real estate, business, trade, local and national outlets.
  • Compile and circulate media clips, coverage updates, client reports, meeting notes and action-item recaps in a timely and polished manner.

  • Begin developing relationships with reporters, editors, producers and trade contacts through thoughtful, well-researched and consistent media engagement.
  • Draft first versions of written materials, including pitches, media advisories, press releases, briefing documents, executive bios, award submissions, social media copy, bylines, talking points and client updates.
  • Help identify fresh storylines around development milestones, leasing activity, openings, neighborhood growth, market trends, design, amenities, sustainability, proptech, public-private partnerships and the future of the built environment.
  • Support client events, launches, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, property tours, panels and other activations by assisting with media invite lists, advisories, staffing documents, check-ins, interview coordination and post-event follow-up.
  • Participate in brainstorms, account planning sessions and new business research, contributing ideas for media angles, thought leadership, partnerships and content opportunities.
  • Develop fluency in clients' businesses, competitors, priority audiences and industries, using that knowledge to help identify timely opportunities and strengthen account work.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail across all materials, including proofreading, formatting, fact-checking and ensuring work is accurate before it is shared with senior team members or clients.
  • Use agency tools and platforms to support media monitoring, media list development, reporting, project management and account organization.
  • Offer overall support to team Marino, including maintaining a respectful, enthusiastic, collaborative and professional attitude toward coworkers, clients, media contacts and outside colleagues.

  • Interest in real estate, cities, neighborhoods, architecture/design, business, technology, economic development, housing, hospitality, retail and/or the broader built environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines and account priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to take clear notes, synthesize next steps and follow through on assignments.
  • Comfort conducting media, industry and competitor research and turning findings into useful insights for account teams.
  • Early media relations experience, including building media lists, drafting pitches, monitoring coverage and conducting reporter outreach, is a plus.
