ChristianaCare'sPrimary Care New Patient Intake Team is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-orientedMedical Assistant Iwith strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

The Primary Care New Patient Intake Team serves as a bridge between patients and their long-term primary care home. This dedicated team supports patients during the transition period by coordinating their care needs, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring they receive timely support while they are being connected with their permanent primary care practice. You will join a collaborative care team consisting of one full-time provider, one part-time provider, two casual providers, and one full-time Medical Assistant I, working together to deliver exceptional patient care and support a positive team environment.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians and care teams by providing essential clinical and administrative assistance through virtual patient interactions. You help ensure quality care by coordinating patient needs, managing communications, updating electronic medical records, assisting with scheduling and referrals, supporting patient portal access, and facilitating seamless connections between patients and providers.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday: 8am to 5pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
As the Medical Assistant I you will provide remote support to patients, providers, and care teams by delivering essential clinical and administrative assistance through virtual platforms. This role supports patient care by conducting virtual patient interactions, assisting with visit preparation, managing electronic medical record (EMR) updates, coordinating patient communications, supporting referrals, authorizations, and scheduling workflows. The Medical Assistant I also assists with troubleshooting video visits, supporting patient portal access, and completing clerical responsibilities to ensure a seamless and efficient virtual care experience.
Position Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
