Licensed Intake Assessor - Behavioral Health - Day

Pay: Up to 38/Hr | Location: St Louis, MO | Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12s (7a-7p)

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, suicide and violence risk screens (e.g., CSSRS), and ASAM when indicated.
  • Obtain collateral, verify benefits, and coordinate bed placement with nursing/medical leadership.
  • Consult with the oncall psychiatrist/NP; formulate provisional diagnoses and recommendations.
  • Document clearly in the EMR and communicate decisions to patients, families, and referral sources.
  • Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving.
  • Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Active independent licensure (e.g., LISWS, LPCCS, LMFTS, or state equivalent).
  • 2+ years acute behavioral health or crisis evaluation experience.
  • Expertise in risk assessment, deescalation, and payer authorization processes.
