Geriatric Nursing Assistant  (GNA)

Interim HealthCare of Bowie is actively hiring GNAs for facility assignments near our Bowie office, with steady openings available across all shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

  • Personal care and hygiene needs of the client  
  • Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
  • Observe client and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment

A few must-haves for Geriatric Nursing Assistants:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Maryland Nursing Assistant licensure | GNA license
  • Minimum of 2 year GNA experience 
  • CPR BLS certification 
  • FLU vaccination
  • COVID Vaccination
  • Recent physical exam 
  • TB/PPD/CHEST XRAY and a negative symptom screening
  • Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
