TLC - The Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville, MD, is seeking a full-time Intake Assistant to support our Outpatient Pediatric Occupational and Speech-Language Therapy Departments. This position plays an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our therapy services by providing clerical, administrative, and customer service support to staff, patients, and families.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment. As a key member of our team, the Intake Assistant helps create a positive experience for families while supporting the delivery of high-quality pediatric therapy services.

Hourly Rate - $20-$27 per hour, depending on education and experience
Responsibilities of the Intake Assistant:
  • Provide excellent customer/patient services via phone, email, and in person
  • Refer callers to the appropriate departments
  • Complete intake procedures and make appointments for clients
  • Assist clients with forms
  • Enter all intake information into the patient database system and consistently update client email lists

Experience and Skills
Requirements of the Intake Assistant:
  • High School Diploma, B.A. in related field preferred
  • One year of administrative experience in a comparable health care setting
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, collaborate and display patience in working with a diverse population
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Courteous and pleasant telephone manner, good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and databases required
