Position Details

What You Will Do 
Reporting to the Manager, Long Haul Trucking, the Underwriting Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the underwriting team.

  • Ensure all policies are issued within service standards with the appropriate wordings, schedules, and certificates attached
  • Verification of insurance certificates issued by our brokers.
  • Communicate directly with brokers to track current quote requests.
  • Assist underwriters with the pre-selection of quotes and summarize basic exposures.
  • Completion of worksheets
  • Gather and review information for monthly activity reports
  • Review, prepare, create, request and send incoming and outgoing mail, reports and forms
  • Other assigned duties, including managing the team's inbox

The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
