Software Engineer

Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments, is seeking to hire a software engineer to add to our growing team. You will be responsible for accomplishing a variety of IT related tasks throughout the diverse Sweetwater enterprise. This work includes building and supporting cutting-edge software solutions for both internal and external customers.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. Job Responsibilities

  • Work with a diverse, expert team of engineers to build the next generation of our best-in-class internal and external tools
  • Build scalable, testable, and reusable code using both open-source technologies and low-code platforms
  • Solve performance and architectural challenges
  • Own the development of apps and features from concept to production
  • Proficiency with modern web development technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience working with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres and the ability to write performant SQL queries
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control software
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with modern web development technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience working with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres and the ability to write performant SQL queries
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control software
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Great customer-facing communication skills
  • Proficiency in GoLang or another object-oriented language (C#, Java, C++ etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of low-code development platforms
