GEICO is seeking a Claims Service Business Analyst to join the strategy team. This role reports to a strategy team manager and requires a strong understanding of business operations for supported GEICO business units.

Using best practices, data, and analytic tools, the Business Analyst will capture and document data, build reporting, and help stakeholders understand KPIs and results to support informed decisions. Candidates should be able to interpret data and turn it into meaningful insights that help operations teams create timely action plans and improve results. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment where clear communication and collaboration between technical teams and business units are essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Business Analysts employs a variety of best practices and tools, to effectively gather, document, and facilitate project needs. This includes:

  • Extract, analyze, and manipulate large claims datasets to identify trends, risks, and performance opportunities

  • Translate complex data into clear, concise insights that support Claims KPIs and OKRs

  • Develop compelling clear data narratives that link operational activities to performance trends and outcomes

  • Partner with Claims Operations leaders to understand business drivers and refine performance measurement

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and insight generation

  • Support strategic initiatives by providing analytical insights, performance tracking, and outcome measurement

  • Supports Director+ level leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information

  • Must have strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and use formulas, build pivot tables, develop charts and graphs, and perform advanced data manipulation.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Must have the following experience/qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Relevant work experience and familiarity with Claims Service operations and KPI

  • Experience in Claims operations or insurance analytics

Location: In office Hybrid work requirement - location specific.


Annual Salary

$52,275.00 - $101,475.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
