We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Project Management Administrative Assistant to join a leading Company located in the Norfolk, VA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $27.01 - 30.10

**US Citizenship is required.**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Management Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Program Management Office (PMO), you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of projects, maintain accurate records, and facilitate effective communication among internal, external, and corporate team members.ย This is a dynamicย andย fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to adapt toย changingย priorities and deadlines.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • High school diploma or equivalentย 
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a project management, business, or executive support role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skillsย 
  • The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervisionย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with project managers, superintendents, schedulers, and other stakeholdersย 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlookย 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracyย 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to resolve issues and improve processesย 
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases

Desired Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • Shipyard or maritime industry experienceย 
  • Project management software experience (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello)ย 
  • Familiarity with document management systemsย 
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or administrative assistance (e.g., Certified Administrative Professional)
