Job description

The Director, Risk Management will play a critical part in shaping the cultural approach to risk and provide thought and execution leadership, with the primary focus on protection of the company's assets and reputation. This person will develop, direct, fund and control Mosaic's global risk management of accidental loss.

What will you do?

  • Lead the organization's efforts on risk management, which will include establishing and maintaining standards and guidelines related to risk acceptance in all contracts, risk financing, loss control, claims and information systems, including authority levels. Direct the analysis of Mosaic's risks and make recommendations for an insurance program that provides reliable, competitively priced coverage with limits and deductibles that reflect Mosaic's overall risk tolerance.
  • Lead, develop and coach Risk Management & Insurance employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort. Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, and the business. Manage performance issues when necessary.   • Develop, maintain and oversee relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party consultants, vendors, suppliers and customers. Work with senior leaders and operations management to enhance safety programs and other risk mitigation activities to minimize costs associated with insurance claims.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and adjust Mosaic's global risk management & insurance programs and systems worldwide.
  • Provide counsel to senior leadership on risks and uncertainties associated with existing operations and strategy. Manage insurance and risk management due diligence issues in acquisitions, divestitures, startups, closures, and new strategies. Manage insurance and risk management issues, which will include integrating or adjusting activity and programs.

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelors Degree required, with a major in a related field, major in Finance, Law and Legal Studies, or Business Management preferred.
  • 10 + years ofRisk and Insurance Database Systems experience required
  • 10 - 15 years of Loss Control experience required
