Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Program Manager in Maryland Heights, MO.
Overview:
We are seeking a strong IT Program Manager to support a high-visibility fraud portfolio within a fast-paced technology environment. This role will report directly to senior leadership and will support a portfolio that is highly reactionary, business-critical, and often driven by urgent fraud events.
The right person must be able to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level. This is not a role for someone who only manages from a distance. The team needs someone who can build roadmaps, manage dependencies, provide executive-ready updates, drive accountability across teams, and jump into the details when needed.
Fraud-related work can shift quickly. When an active fraud issue occurs, priorities may change immediately, meetings are pulled together quickly, and the team must act fast to prevent further impact. This person needs to be flexible, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a demanding environment where priorities can change without much notice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead program and project management efforts across the fraud portfolio
* Coordinate work across project managers, scrum masters, impacted technology teams, business partners, and leadership
* Provide clear status updates, roadmaps, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and next steps
* Build and maintain project plans, program-level reporting, dependency tracking, and executive-level presentations
* Drive accountability by following up with project teams, confirming ownership, and ensuring deliverables stay on track
* Support urgent fraud response efforts by quickly organizing meetings, aligning stakeholders, and helping drive action plans
* Communicate effectively with senior leadership, including VP-level and above
* Navigate internal dynamics with strong judgment, professionalism, and political awareness
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as an IT Program Manager or senior-level Project Manager
* Strong background managing complex technology programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, and stakeholders
* Ability to operate at a high level while also getting into the details when needed
* Experience creating and presenting executive-level status updates and PowerPoint presentations
Strong experience with:
* Program management
* Project management
* Status reporting
* Roadmapping
* Dependency tracking
* Risk and issue management
* Cross-team coordination
* Strong communication skills with the ability to speak confidently with senior leaders
* Ability to drive accountability without creating unnecessary friction
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Experience using Jira is required
* Experience with Microsoft Project and PowerPoint is required
* Must be comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
Preferred Experience:
* Experience supporting fraud, payments, billing, risk, financial services, telecommunications, or customer account protection programs
* Prior experience with fraud prevention or fraud response programs
* Experience working in a PMO, managing a PMO, or leading other project managers
* Former manager, director, or senior PMO leader who wants to return to hands-on consulting may be a strong fit
* Experience in environments similar to Mastercard, banking, payments, or large-scale customer account platforms is a plus
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This role requires someone who is proactive, adaptable, politically savvy, and willing to do the work needed to keep the program moving. A strong culture fit is important, as this is a close-knit team that values collaboration, ownership, and professionalism.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.
