Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with a mission-driven financial services organization seeking an (Bilingual English and Spanish Preferred) Operations Experience Associate to support daily operational workflows, member account management, and cross-departmental coordination. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to delivering excellent member and operational support. The Operations Experience Associate will assist with new account processing, maintain and update member accounts, and ensure all operational tasks comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This position supports the broader operations team while contributing to workflow improvements, member experience enhancements, and streamlined internal processes.
Responsibilities:
Account Management
  • Open, maintain, update, and close member accounts, ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor member records for completeness, accuracy, and timely updates.
Compliance & Regulatory Support
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards including BSA, AML, and internal compliance policies.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or suspicious activity as needed.
Operational Support
  • Support process documentation, updates, and improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist enterprise teams with posting errors, inquiries, and deposit account clarifications.
  • Support updates to procedures such as debit card international processes, dormant accounts, escheatment workflows, etc.
Member Experience
  • Collaborate with the member service team to resolve member inquiries related to accounts and transactions.
  • Handle credit union mailbox communications, respond promptly to member questions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
Cross-Departmental Coordination
  • Work closely with finance, lending, and IT teams to ensure seamless workflow integration.
  • Process online requests using designated tools and platforms.
Reporting
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute operational reports to support internal controls and performance insights.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Ability to work regular business hours with light after-hours communication as needed.
  • Hybrid schedule: in-office 2–3 days per week.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, operations, or a related role.
  • Experience in a credit union or international financial organization preferred.
  • Strong understanding of transaction processing, account management, and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with BSA, AML, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; process management experience a plus.
  • 3–5 years supporting operational functions, projects, or high-level teams preferred.
  • Experience with core banking systems and financial software.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFS) a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
