As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an entry level Operations Worker to join our Ethanol production team. Training is provided!

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing operational activities related to DDGS loadout, inspection, and general facility operations. Key duties include conducting inspection activities such as probing trucks, operating grain handling and receiving equipment, and providing excellent customer service to drivers while accurately entering shipment data. The role involves monitoring equipment and processes to identify issues and either resolving them or escalating as needed to maintain efficient operations. Employees will operate various types of mobile equipment and assist with the safe movement of railcars for product loading. Additional responsibilities include performing general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and maintaining clean work areas. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical labor, working outdoors, and are comfortable working at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection activities such as probing trucks

  • Operate grain handling and receiving equipment; provide customer service to drivers and perform data entry of shipment details

  • Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues; resolve or escalate issues when necessary

  • Operate various types of mobile equipment

  • Assist with the movement of railcars

  • Perform general housekeeping activities

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Minimal job-related experience

  • Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy

  • Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Previous grain operations experience preferred

  • Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver's license preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Work is performed in an ethanol production facility that operates 24x7

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends during high-demand periods

  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds

  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet

  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

  • Working conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
