About the Role
Shamrock Trading Corporation and RTS Insurance Solutions Inc. are looking for a Commercial Insurance Placement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Commercial Insurance Placement Specialist will be responsible for supporting the placement and renewal of commercial insurance accounts by marketing risks to insurance carriers, negotiating coverage and pricing, and developing strong relationships with underwriting partners. This role works closely with Producers, Account Managers, and carrier representatives to secure competitive insurance solutions that meet client needs while supporting agency growth and retention objectives.
What You'll Do
  • Market new and renewal commercial insurance accounts to carrier partners.
  • Prepare and submit account information to carriers, analyzing coverage needs and marketing strategies.
  • Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate carrier quotes, coverage options, terms, and pricing.
  • Present marketing results and coverage recommendations to Producers and Account Managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier and underwriting partners.
  • Stay current on carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, market trends, and coverage solutions.
  • Support account teams with coverage analysis, policy reviews, and renewal planning.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of proposals, policies, and client solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and agency management system records.
  • Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance, insurance marketing, underwriting, account management, or related field preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing marketing and renewal activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with carrier partners and internal stakeholders
