What You'll Do
  • Answer inbound calls from prospective customers
  • Quote and sell Farmers insurance products
  • Identify customer needs and recommend coverage solutions
  • Cross-sell and upsell additional insurance products

What We're Looking For
Required
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals and performance metrics

  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred
  • Call center sales experience
  • Insurance sales experience
  • Active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines License
  • College degree

Licensing
  • No insurance license? No problem.
  • Farmers will sponsor and train qualified candidates to obtain a Property & Casualty License. Licensing must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Hybrid & Remote Work Options

This position is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

  • Employees within 50 miles of the office will work a hybrid schedule:
  • 3 days in office
  • Up to 2 days remote
  • Candidates residing in Eastern Time Zone states with an active P&C or Personal Lines License may be considered for fully remote opportunities.

Work Schedule
  • This position requires flexibility to support customer needs.


Operating Hours:

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM 10:30 PM EST
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM 5:30 PM EST


Schedule Requirements:

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week
  • Some evenings required
  • Saturday rotation (approximately once per month)
  • Some holidays required

Training Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:30 AM 5:00 PM EST
  • Paid training provided

Compensation


Base Salary: Starting at $40,000+ annually


Additional Earnings:

  • Average performers earn $27,300+ in annual incentives
  • Top performers earn $75,000+ in annual incentives


Experienced Insurance Professionals:

  • Candidates with 3+ years of licensed insurance sales and call center experience may qualify for Senior or Lead Sales Consultant positions with starting base salaries of $50,000+.
