Job description

Technical Training & Development Specialist (DMA)   Job Summary

OPEX Corporation is seeking a Technical Training & Development Specialist to support Document & Mail Automation (DMA) products by developing, managing, and delivering training programs that enhance employee skills, product knowledge, and operational efficiency. This role will focus on instructional design, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, and technical training delivery for field service technicians, support teams, production personnel, and customers. This position is to be based at our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ with occasional travel required to various customer sites.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain technical training programs for DMA hardware and software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain training materials including work instructions, student guides, troubleshooting documentation, e-learning modules, videos, and hands-on exercises.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions for field service technicians, support teams, production personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and manage content within the DMA LMS, including course tracking, certifications, and reporting.
  • Partner with engineering, support, production, and product teams to identify training needs and skill gaps.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of technicians and operators.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and update content based on product, process, or system changes.
  • Incorporate real-world troubleshooting scenarios and operational use cases into training content.
 

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical training, instructional design, learning & development, or a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
  • Experience administering or managing an LMS (Moodle Workplace preferred).
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Experience developing instructor-led and e-learning content.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical systems, computer hardware, enterprise software systems, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, presentation, and content development skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training/content development tools.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant technical or instructional certifications (A+, industrial, training, or equipment-specific) a plus.

Preferred

  • Experience training field service technicians, support teams, or production personnel.
  • Familiarity with LMS reporting, certifications, and learning analytics.
  • Ability to incorporate real-world troubleshooting and operational use cases into training.

Salary is $64,000  - $76,000, based on experience.
