The Opportunity
The position works out of our Barceloneta location in the Abbott Vascular Plant in Barceloneta Plant. This position is third shift at the Equipment Maintenance Area. As Maintenance Technician II you will be responsible for performing maintenance functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in the organization and preventive maintenance tasks. Determines and can assist in the development of methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process of equipment maintenance
What You'll Do
• Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations. This includes the QSR and ISO Standards.
• Performs "set-up," tests, repair, inspection and / or maintenance of all equipment in different areas (Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, etc.) materials, systems and / or products.
• Identifies, documents and implements corrective actions in equipment used in manufacturing.
• Performs corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance, as necessary.
• Installs and validates equipment in the production area to improve performance and / or reduce cycle time followed by the established validation procedure.
• Evaluate operational data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. You can develop or review documents or procedures.
• Verify and maintain an inventory of your tools, equipment and materials.
• Coordinates the construction of tools and accessories manufacturing for the manufacturing area.
• You may be required to perform other tasks, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electronics, Electricity or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial mechanics, electronics, instrumentation or related area, preferably in medical device industry.
• Verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and safety standards.
• Knowledge of quality regulations and standards that affect medical devices (i.e. FDA Quality Systems and Regulations).
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations for corporations, local area and state.
