Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Legal Secretary to join our award-winning team. We are a reputable and forward-thinking mid-sized law firm, recognized for our sixth consecutive year in the U.S. News – Best Lawyers® 'Best Law Firms' rankings. As a Legal Secretary, you will have an essential role in supporting our attorneys and clients, and contributing to our continued success.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, format, and/or process legal documents, such as pleadings, briefs, agreements, correspondence, and forms
  • Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments and calendaring deadlines
  • Handle correspondence with clients and attorneys
  • File legal documents timely and accurately with California courts using e-filing procedures
  • Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing or distribution
  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent secretarial experience required. Insurance Defense, Civil Litigation, or Personal Injury background preferred
  • Knowledge of California court filing/e-filing procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Sharp attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, reliable team player with a professional yet outgoing personality
