We are seeking highly skilled Legal Secretaries to join our team in CALIFORNIA. This role entails administrative expertise with substantive legal support for our busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, proactive, take pride and responsibility for work product, be supportive and a team player and thrive in a fast paced primarily remote environment. Experince filing documents in CA is a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial support to multiple attorneys
  • Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents including but not limited to case management statements, notices, discovery, motions, appeals, petitions, and discovery
  • Prepare and file court documents including e filing in compliance with deadlines and court rules and ensuring compliance with local and departmental rules
  • Maintain attorney calendars: schedule conferences, depositions, discover, motions, hearings, and track critical litigation dates and deadlines
  • Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and trial notebooks
  • Communicate with clients, experts and medical providers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience; extensive calendaring and court filing experience in California
  • Proficeincy in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Outlook), PDF Software in a legal environment, including document creation, editing, redlining, bookmarking, OCR and Bates Numbering.
  • Experience with cloud based calendaring and court e-filings systems
  • Exceptionally detail oriented, with focus and accuracy, superb organizational and time-management skills;ability to multitask in a remote setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures
