Insurance Defense Associate

Insurance Defense Associate | 100% REMOTE | $140,000 - $200,000

We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Defense Associate to join a high-performing litigation team. This role is fully remote and focuses on representing insurers and their insureds in civil litigation matters from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Litigation Management: Handle a mixed caseload of personal injury and property claims from intake through disposition.

  • Drafting & Filing: Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.

  • Strategic Research: Develop defense strategies regarding liability, coverage, and bad faith issues.

  • Advocacy: Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.

  • Collaboration: Partner with claims adjusters and experts to evaluate exposure and case budgets.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of civil litigation experience (Insurance Defense preferred).

  • Licensure: Juris Doctor (JD) and active Bar admission.

  • Technical Skills: Strong background in motion practice, discovery, and deposition support.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance principles, policy interpretation, and coverage analysis.
