Summer Instructor Coordinator - Brandeis University TRiO Upward Bound

The Upward Bound Summer Instructor Coordinator is a member of the Upward Bound summer leadership team, which includes instructors, professional staff, and tutor counselors. This role is responsible for supervising summer instructors, supporting daily program operations, and contributing to leadership, administration, transportation coordination, and overall program management throughout the summer session.

The hourly rate for the positions is $25.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Set Up and manage Library and MakerSpace access for courses

  • Design/Update template for Upward Bound Student Feedback Form

  • Create and share template for syllabus for summer courses

  • Select day/time for weekly Instructor Meeting

  • Select and print PSAT and SAT practice exams for summer program pre/post test

  • Create weekly writing challenge packets

  • Create weekly math challenge packets

  • Create and manage weekly office hours schedule for Study Hall

  • Manage classroom and computer lab access for Study Hall

  • Support planning of Project Showcase

  • Observe summer course instructions weekly and provide feedback to instructors

  • Manage distribution and collection of Scholar Dollars

  • Provide coverage for Program Director if absent

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree required.Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience with federally funded TRIO or community based programs preferred.

  • Demonstrated supervisory and teaching experience.
    Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced summer program environment

The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements.
