Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop effective instructor-led (synchronous, classroom or virtual) and eLearning (asynchronous, SCORM-conformant) training materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze requirements, identify learning objectives, and transform technical content into clear, instructionally sound materials.
  • Apply adult learning theory, Bloom's revised taxonomy, and evidence-based design practices to develop courses that promote measurable learning outcomes.
  • Create interactive, accessible content that meets Section 508 compliance standards.
  • Develop assessments, job aids, and performance support tools aligned with course objectives.
  • Apply the ADDIE process-analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate-to ensure consistent instructional quality.
  • Conduct quality reviews of training products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client standards.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal teams and customers to provide input on design, content, and implementation strategies.
  • Convert instructor-led content into effective eLearning modules and blended learning formats.
  • Maintain organized project files, design documents, and development records throughout the production cycle.
  • Design and develop training that complies with military training doctrine and policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with an emphasis on Department of Defense (DoD) program, contract, or mission support. (U.S. Air Force experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience applying the ADDIE framework to develop training programs.
  • Proven ability to design clear, concise training for complex technical subjects.
  • Experience developing both instructor-led and web-based training content.
  • Familiarity with SCORM standards and Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing training for federal agencies preferred.
