Job Title: Training Specialist/Instructional Designer (Hybrid)
Reports To: National Training Manager, or equivalent leadership.
Job Overview:
The Training Specialist/Instructional Designer plays a critical role in improving the technical and professional development of our employees across the organization. This role involves designing and implementing effective training course designs that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and delivery will focus primarily on new hire onboarding for front-line team members.
  • Instructional designs will support technical aspects of roles that are engaging and intuitive as the primary introduction to multiple enterprise platforms to execute transactions related to service offerings.
  • Designs will be introductory in nature to systems and platforms with designs that result in success in the introduction, overview, walkthrough, and skill testing transactions that result in achieving initial levels of self-sufficiency on an identified set of routine tasks.
  • Designs should be intuitive in approach, focused on immediate application of new skills to an identified skill set, and directly correlate to successful demonstrations on the job.
  • Designs should be strategic and modular in construction to be successful in a high change and fast-paced environment that drives system and platform enhancements resulting in training modifications.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders and training team members to assess training needs and develop customized training solutions.
  • Utilizes a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs.
  • Partners with Training Specialists and Operations subject matter experts to build training ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Responsible for the management of training solutions using the learning management system.
  • Tests, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of training solutions leveraging user feedback and LMS to ensure functionality and quality.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of training trends, developments, and instructional design best practices.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of instructional design experience, with demonstrated success in both technical and professional skill building products.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equal proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certification in training delivery and design (e.g., CPTD, CPLP) is a plus.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for up to 75% of the workday, with intermittent movement between work areas.
  • Ability to move about the worksite for up to 25% of the workday, including walking between reception, training, and mailroom areas.
  • Ability to occasionally (up to 10% of the workday) bend, stoop, kneel, or reach to access materials, equipment, or mail items.
