Job Summary
As a school instructional aide, you will facilitate teachers' lesson plans, provide small group instruction, lead educational activities, and provide individual classwork assistance as requested. You may also be asked to provide classroom support including grading students' assignments, making copies, organizing supplies, and performing regular clean-up duties.
Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, to be determined by the school district. You will accompany classes to lunch, recess, and specials, supervising students' behavior and ensuring orderly transitions. You will reinforce their teacher s' instructions and expectations to facilitate a positive learning environment. You may also be asked to participate with certain students in prescribed PT, OT or SLP services in accordance with individual education plans (IEP) or 504 plans.
We are looking for a versatile instructional aide who is willing to collaborate with a diverse group of students, educators, and administrators. Our ideal applicant is compassionate, steady under pressure, and capable of meeting the needs of students in a busy classroom environment.
