Overview

The Inside Sales Representative builds and maintains long-term relationships with an assigned segment of fleet customers in the trucking industry. This role supports customers in managing their maintenance and repair needs across the Boss Truck Shops network by providing reliable, consultative service solutions.  This role focuses on customer retention and growth through consistent communication follow-up, and collaboration with shop leadership and service teams to deliver a dependable, positive customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for an assigned group of fleet customers.
  • Prospects and generates leads by identifying potential customers, conducting cold calls and qualify warm leads to build a strong book of business.
  • Develops trusted relationships through consistent follow-up, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing communication to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Boss Truck Shops' products and services.
  • Promotes maintenance, repair, and on-site service offerings in a consultative, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintains regular customer contact via phone and email to ensure satisfaction, follow up on service needs, and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Supports customer retention efforts through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborates closely with Shop General Managers, outside sales representatives, and customer care teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Assists with lead follow-up, local fleet programs, and customer onboarding.
  • Accurately documents customer interactions and activity in Salesforce (CRM).

 

Additional Job Duties:

  • Assists in other duties, as assigned.
  • The ability to travel at 10% minimum is required.
  • Assists Customer Support Representative with strategic account management.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (includes certs or licenses needed):

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 2-4 years of sales and customer service experience combined.
  • Transportation and/or truck repair industry knowledge required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven sales, operational and marketing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment.
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills.
  • Dependable, responsible and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate in English; bilingual skills a plus.
  • Committed to delivering friendly, courteous and prompt customer service.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other team members.
