Materials Handler - Piscataway, NJ

Expert Technical Solutions has an immediate opening for a Materials Handlers with one of our premier clients in the financial services industry.
This is 1 month + contract with the possibility of extension.

This role is a 100% onsite, working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

As a Materials Handler, you will perform warehousing duties, inventory management, packaging, loading and unloading of USPS materials, and general cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Stock and maintain client consumables and USPS inventory at workstation.
  • Assist Insert Operators in keeping mail processing through the Inserter as efficiently & accurately as possible while meeting SLA deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in inventory counts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Perform housekeeping activities such as cleaning and maintenance of the Operations facility and/or the insertion area
  • Provide pre-staged consumables to the Insert Operators as needed.
  • Accurately traying mail with the correct tray tags.
  • Build pallets neatly and organized to meet USPS requirements.
  • Utilize methods such as shrink wrapping or strapping to ensure that pallets are secure
  • Clean and maintain an organized workstation.
  • Assist in relocating materials and reconfigure consumable locations
  • Inspect consumables for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to Supervisors
  • Prepare completed mail for QOS & USPS inspection as required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or material handling environment
  • Experience picking, moving, and organizing materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/bend throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory counts
  • Reliable with excellent attendance
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
