Director of Nursing

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to oversee the nursing department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and protocols. Job Type: Full-time

DON Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care

  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare standards

  • Manage the budget for the nursing department, including staffing and supply expenses

  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to improve patient outcomes

DON Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher level of education preferred

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

  • Experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a healthcare facility with Medicare patients

  • Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance requirements

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
