What is an injections job?

An Injections job typically involves administering medications, vaccines, or other substances via injection to patients in medical or clinical settings. Professionals in this role, such as nurses or medical assistants, must follow proper protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities may include preparing injections, monitoring patients for reactions, and maintaining accurate medical records. Proper training and certification are often required depending on the workplace and regulations.

What are the typical daily responsibilities for someone in an injections position?

A professional working in an Injections role is primarily responsible for preparing and administering injectable medications or vaccines, ensuring all procedures are performed safely and in line with medical protocols. Daily tasks often include verifying patient information, documenting injections in electronic health records, managing supplies, and educating patients on potential side effects or aftercare. Collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members is common, especially when arranging follow-up care or addressing adverse reactions. The role requires a high level of trust, precision, and direct patient interaction, making it both challenging and rewarding for those dedicated to patient health and safety.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the injections position, and why are they important?

To excel in an Injections role, you need proficiency in safe medication administration, strong knowledge of aseptic technique, and typically a healthcare-related qualification such as licensure as a nurse or medical assistant. Experience with injection-specific tools, such as syringes, safety needles, and electronic health record (EHR) systems, is important, and certifications in immunization administration are frequently preferred. Attention to detail, a calm demeanor, and effective communication skills are crucial for managing patient concerns and ensuring accurate documentation. These abilities are vital to minimize errors, maintain patient safety, and deliver quality care in medical environments that often require efficiency and professionalism.

How to get a job as an injector?

To become an injector, typically one needs to complete relevant medical training such as nursing, medical assisting, or esthetician programs, and obtain necessary certifications or licenses depending on the jurisdiction. Experience with injections, good manual dexterity, and knowledge of safety protocols are also important. Job opportunities are often found in clinics, medical spas, or dermatology offices, with some roles requiring ongoing training or specialization.

Job description

Benefits:
  • Studio Perks
  • Wellness resources
  • Employee discounts

Solterra Wellness Club is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner to help launch our clinical wellness and aesthetic services at The Galaxy at Polaris.
This is not an entry-level injector role. We are looking for an NP with meaningful hands-on experience providing aesthetic injectables and/or IV wellness services who can deliver exceptional clinical care in a refined, hospitality-driven environment.
Solterra’s initial clinical services will include IV hydration and vitamin therapy, wellness injections, NAD+ therapy, aesthetic consultations, wrinkle-reducing injectables/neuromodulators, and other approved aesthetic treatments.
Experience Required
Candidates should have current or recent hands-on experience in at least two of the following:
  • Aesthetic injectables, including neuromodulators/wrinkle-reducing treatments
  • IV therapy and vascular access
  • Vitamin or wellness injections
  • NAD+ infusions or wellness infusion protocols
Certification courses without actual treatment experience are not sufficient. We are seeking a provider who has performed these services in a med spa, wellness clinic, dermatology, plastic surgery, concierge medicine, or similar clinical setting.
Why This Role Is Different
Solterra is an integrated wellness club, not a standalone med spa or high-volume injection clinic. Our clinical services will exist alongside Pilates, yoga, massage, recovery, skin health, and other wellness experiences.
The NP will be supported by front desk and booking support, marketing, member relationships, internal referrals, and a client experience built around safety, education, consistency, and natural-looking outcomes.
What You’ll Do
  • Provide approved clinical wellness and aesthetic services within your license, training, protocols, and applicable Ohio requirements.
  • Conduct consultations, review health histories, assess candidacy and contraindications, obtain informed consent, and educate clients on treatment and aftercare.
  • Administer approved IV therapies, wellness injections, NAD+ protocols, and aesthetic treatments within scope and established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment records, follow-up, and client communication.
  • Follow established standards for sanitation, medication handling, emergency response, safety, and documentation.
  • Help refine Solterra’s clinical protocols, intake process, treatment flow, and client experience.
  • Collaborate with Solterra’s broader wellness team while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries.
Qualifications
  • Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Meaningful hands-on experience with aesthetic injectables, IV therapy, wellness injections, or comparable clinical wellness services.
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation practices, client education skills, and safety-first decision-making.
  • Professional, reliable, warm, and comfortable working in a client-facing wellness environment.
Experience with aesthetic consultation, IV starts, infusions, IM injections, NAD+ protocols, treatment planning, and managing contraindications is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a W-2 employee position with recurring weekly appointment blocks. Evening and/or weekend availability is a plus. Clinical hours may expand as membership and demand grow.
Competitive compensation will be based on experience, clinical responsibilities, and the final schedule. Required administrative, training, and clinical time will be compensated. Solterra provides approved clinical supplies and products, booking and payment systems, marketing, and front desk support.
Team perks include discounts on Solterra services, classes, retail, café offerings, and wellness amenities.
About Solterra
Solterra Wellness Club is a new integrated wellness destination opening Fall 2026 at The Galaxy at Polaris in Columbus, Ohio, bringing together movement, recovery, skin health, medical wellness, massage and bodywork, and complementary wellness services.
We are looking for an experienced NP who can help build our clinical wellness program with excellent judgment, safety, professionalism, and warmth from day one.
To apply, submit your resume with a brief summary of your hands-on aesthetic and IV/wellness experience, relevant training, and general availability.
