What You'll Do
  • Provides and documents assistance to patients with mobility including transfers and ambulation, comfort measures, and maintains a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Mobility Tech Supervisor.
  • Works in collaboration with the Nursing Team, communicating with nursing prior to and following patient mobility activities.
  • Assists in the provision of safe mobilization in a manner to promote the patient's functional ability and lead to improved quality of life.
  • Completes assigned, routine, non-treatment activities, which are pre-determined for each patient by the Mobility Tech program to maintain function and assist with mobility.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Completion Novant Health sponsored training program, required. First Responder Certification, preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required): Upon completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program, the mobility tech works within the guidelines of mobility program and Novant Health policies and procedures. Must exhibit strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills, and strong customer service skills.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation. Pursuit of a healthcare profession.
