Information Technology Senior Manager

Company:

The Boeing Company is looking for an Information Technology Senior Manager to join the team in Dallas, TX; or Miami, FL.

The selected candidate will be joining the Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization. The ideal candidate possesses a wealth of experience and leadership in the technology space, leadership finesse to build enduring strategic partnerships, along with the ability to handle high-pressure situations having executive and board-of-directors-level visibility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-discipline Subsidiary Infrastructure Operations team (12-16 direct reports) supporting network, compute, cloud, database and storage areas

  • Define and execute the network security product roadmap aligned to enterprise standards and the broader Infrastructure Technology and Operations (IT&O) strategy

  • Drive the Infrastructure technology roadmap implementation and strategic partnership across different technology stacks including network, compute, cloud, database and storage

  • Build and maintain the Infrastructure technology stack: design, engineering, and lifecycle management of Compute, Network, Cloud, Database and Storage areas

  • Champion modern engineering practices including infrastructure-as-code for infrastructure security policy, automated testing of controls, and continuous improvement of the engineering and delivery experience

  • Partner with other infrastructure areas such as Network, Compute, Cloud, Database and Storage design, integration patterns, and enterprise standards

  • Establish and maintain the operational hand-off model with the Infrastructure & Operations organization for day-to-day support, patching, and incident handling of network security infrastructure

  • Establish strong partnership with Boeing Enterprise Security organization for driving compliance and implementation of AI enabled defensive controls

  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts with various infrastructure vendors and managed service providers; conduct quarterly business reviews, evaluate new tools, and drive optimization and adoption where appropriate

  • Perform as company ISO control owner for Infrastructure controls. Manage integration and closure of security findings of infrastructure systems and reconcile with Boeing policies and ISO controls

  • Act as organizational interface to corporate audit and sustainability of infrastructure security processes with corporate audit and Boeing policy compliance

  • Infrastructure Technology and Operations (IT&) organizational consultant to Business Units and other IT organizations to influence adoption of, and compliance to, IT polices, practices and infrastructure controls

  • Ensure business units understand corporate policies and regulatory compliance infrastructure position when developing systems which rely on corporate network

  • Manage, support and maintain the silent operations for warehouse operations worldwide for Boeing Distribution businesses

  • Manage and own security and compliance for Infrastructure technologies including network, cloud, compute, database and storage

  • Own capacity planning, cost management, and platform health reporting for Infrastructure Technology services

  • Hire, retain, and develop senior individual contributors, managers and team leads; drive career development plans and performance reviews

  • Provide cost, risk, and impact analysis for Infrastructure design and operational decisions; present to executive stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years' experience in the information technology industry with focus on Infrastructure or and Operations support

  • 10+ years' experience in a management role with both people and business unit leadership responsibilities

  • 10+ years' experience supporting enterprise technology environments including applications, infrastructure, cloud services, databases, networks, or and identity and access management platforms

  • 10+ years' experience in teaming and collaboration skills, and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team

  • 3+ years' experience with Zero Trust principles and architecture, including identity-driven access enforcement, micro segmentation, and policy-based controls

  • Experience with managing vendors, contracts, and/or working with Cybersecurity controls or Applications systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field

  • 12+ years of network security engineering experience in large enterprise environments

  • Experience leading a Infrastructure Technology and Operations organization in a large enterprise environment

  • Experience integrating Enterprise systems with subsidiary organizations networks and systems in a large enterprise

  • Experience with public cloud security experience across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud-native technologies (security groups, VPCs, cloud WAF, cloud firewalls etc)

  • Experience with regulatory/compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, FedRAMP, PCI, HIPAA, NIST CSF) and how to operationalize controls in infrastructure security

  • Knowledge driving initiatives such as NAC platforms (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass), DNS security (Cisco Umbrella, Infoblox), or NDR platforms (ExtraHop, Vectra, Darktrace)

  • Knowledge with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and policy-as-code practices for network security automation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a history of producing technical roadmaps, governance documentation, and executive updates
