Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Analyst II - Job Scheduling and Migration opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months

Overview:
Completes activities related to larger and/or more complex installations, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware/software and related infrastructure. Ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve Service Desk escalations based on outcomes of previous incidents.
  • Create/document procedures for work orders and request-based tasks.
  • Analyze and isolate technical incidents requiring problem-solving; utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.
  • Complete systems maintenance activities following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including patching, health checks, and operating system updates.
  • Schedule maintenance changes to minimize operational risk.
  • Participate in cross-functional project work; lead technical teams and provide design input.
  • Document and improve SOP and maintenance tasks for efficiency.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, identifying risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an inclusive environment reflecting the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and regulatory issues.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Oversee job scheduling and migration activities, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with application teams for quality assurance and incident resolution.
  • Provide technical assistance for disaster recovery preparation and testing.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical teams within projects and guide less experienced staff on processes.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience.
  • Experience reading and digesting technical information.
  • Detail-oriented with proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage multiple work priorities.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience.
  • Certifications or special training in related technologies.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
