At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence.


We are looking for a Utility IT Technical Support Specialist who will be a subject matter expert for our client.  Operational and maintenance support requiring core proficiencies in automated trouble analysis, real-time grid integration, and system administration.

The role is hybrid, which will require reporting to the client site on Tuesday and Wednesday each week.  Must support client with West Coast hours.


  • Designs, administers and monitors grid application software configurations.
  • Create and execute shell scripts and/or python code.
  • Collaborates directly with IT team maintaining, improving, and implementing communications, hardware, and software infrastructure
  • Support data requests from SQL databases specific to electrical utility events.
  • Writes and reviews documentation to describe configuration processes, logic, and test plans.
  • Assist with system logic, processes, and data particularly as it relates to OMS-related projects, customer communications, and operational activities.

  • Contribute to the client’s upcoming database and operating system (OS) server upgrades.

  • Outage Management System (OMS) configuration, testing and other hands-on support.

  • Provide high-tier technical support during active outage events, including nights and weekends during severe weather or system emergencies.  Must support on-call duty support rotation shared with existing team.


Required Skills/Attributes

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of IT experience, specifically supporting operational technology (OT) or utility software environments.
  • Experience performing data analysis.
  • Maintenance experience with back office support of the CGI Outage Management System application at an Electrical Utility or similar.

  • Strong proficiency in OpenGrid Network, formerly known as Pragma UP/Pragma LINE, SQL database, python, windows server maintenance and operational support.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
