Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager, Cloud & Infrastructureย  Security, owns the product strategy for Equinixโ€™sย  cloud and container security capabilities. The roleย  spans three product areas: cloud security posture andย  governance, runtime and container protection, and infrastructure and IaC security. The PM partnersย  closely with cloud platform engineers, developers,ย  and security operations โ€” ensuring controls areย  effective and practical to adopt at scale.

Responsibilities

Vision & Roadmap: Own the roadmap acrossย  cloud posture management, runtime andย container security, and infrastructure securityย controls. Keep priorities tied to business risk andย engineering capacity.
โ€ข Product Ownership: Maintain a clear,ย actionable backlog for each product area.ย
Translate security requirements into workย engineering teams can execute, and trackย outcomes against defined goals.
โ€ข Engineering Partnership: Work with platformย and infrastructure leads to embed security intoย developer workflows โ€” pipelines,ย infrastructure-as-code, and container delivery โ€” without unnecessary friction.
โ€ข Stakeholder Management: Represent cloudย security priorities across InfoSec, platformย engineering, and business planning. Serve as theย primary point of contact for questions andย investment decisions in this space.
โ€ข Emerging Capabilities: Lead early-stage work onย new capabilities, including container imageย integrity and admission control. Defineย requirements, set success criteria, and manageย the path from proof-of-concept to production.

Leadership Characteristics
โ€ข Thinks in Systems: Designs controls that workย consistently across a multi-cloud environmentย and on-prem infrastructure โ€” not one-off fixesย for individual teams.
โ€ข Balances Ideal and Practical: Makes clearย tradeoffs between security coverage andย developer experience. Keeps a prioritizedย backlog that reflects what engineering canย actually ship.
โ€ข Communicates Across Audiences: Explainsย technical topics plainly to non-technicalย stakeholders, and translates business risk intoย requirements engineers can act on.

Knowledge and Experience
โ€ข Experience: 5โ€“10+ years in technical productย management, with direct experience owningย security products in cloud or infrastructureย environments.
โ€ข Cloud & Container Security: Solidย understanding of cloud security postureย
management, cloud configuration policyย enforcement, container and Kubernetesย security, IaC scanning, and runtime workloadย protection.
โ€ข Developer Workflows: Understands howย security fits into CI/CD pipelines, containerย registries, and infrastructure-as-code delivery.ย Can work with engineering teams to integrateย controls without disrupting how they build.
โ€ข Cross-Functional Leadership: Track record ofย aligning engineering, security operations, andย business stakeholders on a shared roadmap in aย large, complex organization.

Skills and Attributes
โ€ข Technical Depth: Comfortable going deep onย how a capability works โ€” from misconfigurationย detection to container admission control โ€” andย translating that understanding into productย decisions.
โ€ข Clear Communication: Writes and speaksย plainly. Can make a complex security conceptย understandable to a business leader withoutย losing the substance.
โ€ข Ownership Mindset: Takes accountability forย outcomes. Follows through on commitmentsย and flags risks early.
