Job description

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner is responsible for driving the product development execution for the Wealth InFocus (WIF) product, Broadridge's next-generation client communications solution. This role leads the Product Development vertical, partnering closely with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, UX, and Platform teams to deliver innovative capabilities that expand the product's functionality, scalability, and market reach. This individual serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and dedicated engineering teams, translating strategic product vision into actionable roadmaps, well-defined requirements, and high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Product Development backlog for Wealth InFocus, ensuring alignment with product strategy, customer needs, and business priorities.
  • Serve as the Product Owner for one or more Agile Scrum teams, providing clear product direction and prioritization throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate strategic vision into executable epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead the delivery of new product capabilities that enhance the Wealth InFocus platform and improve the client experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Platform, Architecture, Engineering, UX, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across Broadridge platforms and shared services.
  • Drive initiatives that modernize the platform, improve scalability, and support long-term product evolution.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Wealth InFocus into new market segments, products, and industries while supporting the broader product roadmap.
  • Act as the primary business representative for dedicated engineering teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Own and maintain a healthy product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and acceptance of completed work in partnership with Scrum Masters and Engineering teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders and engineering to balance business priorities, technical dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Support release planning, solution validation, user acceptance testing, and product demonstrations.
  • Monitor delivery progress, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively remove impediments to successful delivery.
  • Champion Agile and Scrum best practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across Product and Engineering teams.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of Product Owner, Product Management, or Business Analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as the Product Owner for Agile Scrum teams, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story development, acceptance criteria, and acceptance testing.
  • Proven experience leading complex software development initiatives from concept through delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Scrum methodologies, product lifecycle management, and iterative software delivery.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience prioritizing competing initiatives while balancing business value, customer needs, and technical complexity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within Financial Services, Wealth Management, Brokerage, Retirement, Insurance, FinTech, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Experience working with platform modernization initiatives, APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile lifecycle management tools.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience leading digital transformation or enterprise platform initiatives.

Champions Agile principles and Scrum best practices to improve team effectiveness and delivery quality. Balances strategic thinking with execution excellence, ensuring business value is delivered in every release.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $135,000 - $140,000.
