City : Cairo State : Illinois (US-IL) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 47229 A Day in the Life:The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repairs and upkeep of plant operational equipment.Position Details:Monday Friday day shift, 7:00am 3:00pm, no lunchOvertime, call-out availability, weekends/holidays, and an on-call rotation are required.Pay rate: $32.09 per hourBunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.What You?ll Be Doing:Regular use of hand tools, power tools, measurement devices including calipers, welders, pipe fitting equipment, cutting torch, etc.Lifting and rigging using cables & slingsTroubleshoot and repair pumps, centrifugal, rotary, and positive displacement pumpsAnalyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plan for and take corrective action; make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and qualityWorking knowledge of laser alignment, ultrasonic and lubricationReplace gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives, and belt drivesTimely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, and policiesCommitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirementsMust be willing to train for advancementOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:1-3 years or more of major industrial maintenance experienceAbility to operate mobile equipment such as forklift, aerial lift, JLG, scissor lift, and other equipmentAbility to work primarily in a non-climate-controlled environmentStrong work ethic, dependability, and a high level of dedication to safetyPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDPrior experience in a plant or similar environmentCertifications for welding, electrical training, or industrial maintenance training#INDT2At Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
