Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Global Atlantic is seeking a strategic, highly collaborative, and results-oriented marketing leader to define and execute product marketing for Independent Distribution, including Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) and Brokerage General Agencies (BGAs). Reporting to the Principal, Product Marketing, the AVP will lead content creation activities related to the development, stand up and launch of annuity products targeted to the Independent Marketing and Independent Broker/Dealer distribution channels.

The successful candidate will combine solid independent distribution background with insight, disciplined execution, analytical rigor, and annuity product knowledge while partnering across Sales, National Accounts, Product, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Creative, and Analytics.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience marketing annuity solutions through independent distribution. They connect sales strategy, audience insight, and execution; simplify complex products; influence senior stakeholders; lead teams; and move cross-functional initiatives from concept through measurable results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and lead the product marketing strategy for Independent Distribution, aligning priorities, resources, and execution with sales objectives and enterprise brand standards.
  • Develop and manage marketing plans that translate business priorities into integrated campaigns, channel programs, sales enablement, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Independent Sales and National Accounts leadership to identify audience needs, shape creative marketing approaches, and strengthen engagement with IMO and BGA partners.
  • Lead strategy and execution for new product launches, including positioning, messaging, launch plans, sales tools, collateral, and financial professional communications.
  • Direct the development of digital and print marketing materials, websites, and related resources in partnership with Marketing and Creative teams.
  • Manage initiatives end to end, from brief development and stakeholder alignment through review, approval, deployment, measurement, and optimization.
  • Partner closely with Product, Legal, and Compliance to ensure marketing and advertising materials are accurate, on brand, and approved for use in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Partner with the marketing analytics workstream by defining reporting, success metrics, and scorecards; use performance insights to improve engagement, reach, and contribution to revenue.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization and influence effectively in a matrixed environment.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of related experience, including experience in the sales and marketing of annuity products.
  • Experience supporting Independent Distribution, including IMO and BGA relationships.
  • FINRA Series 6 registration, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience developing marketing campaigns, launching products, and managing portfolios of marketing materials, websites, and related resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex products, sales concepts, and strategies and translate them into clear, high-impact messaging and visuals.

Working Conditions and Travel

This is the expected annual base salary range for this Des Moines-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range $130,000 - $160,000
